The Ministry of Finance in collaboration with the Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC) embarked on their routine monitoring exercise on the implementation of the Composite Budgets of the various MMDAs nationwide. The aim of the exercise is to assess the effectiveness of the Public Financial Management (PFM) systems and practices for improved service delivery at the sub-national level relating to 2022 and the first quarter of 2023.
The exercise took a place at the North Tongu District Assembly with Heads of Departments in attendance at the office of the coordinating Director. The DCD welcomed the team and the discussion of the monitoring questionnaire commenced. The leader of the monitoring team indicated that the exercise is meant to address some of the challenges with regards to the PFM reforms, GIFMIS and other related official property
