FIRST QUARTER BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING

On Wednesday the 6th of April 2022, a Budget Committee meeting was held by the North Tongu District Assembly to discuss the 2022 Revenue Improvement Action Plan and the 2021 Annual Budget Performance.

The RIAP 2022 was reviewed and it was realized that some items that are supposed to be in the fee fixing have been omitted. The District Budget Analyst promised to look into it.

On revenue mobilization, The Coordinating Director Mr. Laryea Tetteh indicated that he has set a committee to see to the affairs of the Battor market, the committee will see to revenue mobilization in the market.

The meeting was a successful one and was adjourned by Agric director, Mr. Peter Heh and seconded by Rubby Besagah.

SECOND QUARTER BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING

On Thursday the 14th of July 2022, a Budget Committee meeting was held by the North Tongu District Assembly to review the 2022 Annual Composite Budget by Departments/Units and the 2022 Fee Fixing Resolution.

The DBA gave a short briefing on progress of the 2022 Budget for the second quarter. He recounted the performance of IGF from January to June 2022.

The Budget Analyst presented the fee fixing rates for the year and briefed the house of a review of low rates. There were further discussions where members suggested for some to go up and others to be reduced.

The meeting was a successful one and Thomas Hamelo the Budget Analyst thanked everyone for coming. He ended by moving for the adjournment of the meeting and was seconded by Hillary Kwamuar.
