GRA organizes training on Property Rates

The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) recently organized a training session for the North Tongu District Assembly on property rates. The training was conducted by a facilitator named Edem and was aimed at improving the skills of various departments, including Management Information Systems (MIS), Human Resources (HR), Finance, the District Chief Executive (DCE), and the District Coordinating Director (DCD).
The training focused on enhancing the understanding of property rates and their collection, as well as the legal framework for property taxation in Ghana. Participants also received insights on how to manage and maintain accurate property records, handle property valuations, and effectively communicate with taxpayers.
The GRA's efforts to organize this training align with the government's goal to improve revenue mobilization and enhance local government capacity to manage their finances. The North Tongu District Assembly officials expressed gratitude to the GRA and the facilitator, Edem, for the informative and well-organized training session. They believe that the knowledge gained from this training will improve their ability to effectively carry out their roles and responsibilities.
