On 10th July, 2020, the North Tongu District Assembly presented medical items and canopies to the COVID-19 Treatment Center/IDIC located at the Battor Catholic Hospital.
This is the second time the District Assembly has donated to the health facility to help with the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Hon. Richard Collins Arku, the District Chief Executive of the North Tongu District presented the items to the Battor Catholic Hospital. He assured the hospital of the Assembly’s full support to help contain the spread of the virus.
The following were the items presented to the Treatment Center:
Four (4) rooms of canopy, thirty (30) pieces of bedsheets, four (4) pieces of electronic blood pressure monitor, four (4) pieces of pulse Oximeter and four (4) pieces of Glucometer and Stethoscope.
The Medical Supreintendent of the hospital, Dr. Bernard Hayford Atuguba, expressed gratitude to the North Tongu DCE for the generous donation and promised to use the items for the purpose for which they were meant.
