On 21st December 2020, the Head of Local Government Service Eng. Stephen Nana AtO Arthur, presented some office equipment to the North Tongu District Assembly. This was in response to an attack on the District Assembly building by the Western Togoland Secessionist group on 25th September, 2020, after which various office equipment and items were taken away.
Items presented included, Three (3) Laptops, Two (2) Desktop Computers and Two (2) UPS equipment. Management and staff of the Assembly were overly excited for the gesture and promised to put the items to good use. A group picture was taken after which the Head Of Local Government Service, Nana Ato Arthur, departed for Accra.
The Head of the Local Government service including the Chief Director, the Director of the Human Resource and the Public Affairs Officer visited the assembly on 21st October 2020 to sympathize and interact with staff and management of the assembly. The Head of Local Government Service promised to support the Assembly with New Laptops, Computers, Printers and a Vehicle.
He was at the Assembly to fulfil the promise made on 21st October 2020. Present for the handing over of the items to the Assembly was the District Chief Executive, Hon. Richard Collins Arku, District Coordinating Director, A.M Awal Suhunyini, some Assembly Members and staff of the North Tongu District Assembly.
