On the 4th of February 2021, a total of 54 town and area council members from the Battor, Mepe,Juapon and Dusor area councils were sworn into office.

The Honorable DCE in his inaugural address expressed his enthusiasm to be honoring the session. He entreated all members to bear in mind that they have been elected to cooperate and work towards ensuring good governance and accelerated development of their communities. He entreated all internal and external auditors to contribute towards achieving efficiency and effectiveness in carrying out District Assembly functions and declared the area councils duely inaugurated.

Representatives of the council, Hon. Mawuli Vorsah and Hon Christian Amegla expressed their gratitude to the session and thanked them for giving them the mandate to chair the various area councils and called for cooperation from the members in arriving at joint decisions.
