DCE's SPECIAL MEETING WITH PARAMOUNT CHIEFS AND QUEEN MOTHERS OF THE SIX TRADITIONAL AREAS OF THE NORTH TONGU DISTRICT

The DCE for North Tongu, Hon Divine Osborn Kwadzo Fenu on Wednesday 1st Dec, 2021 met the paramount chiefs and queen mothers from the six traditional areas in North Tongu to officially introduce himself to them as the newly appointed and confirmed DCE for North Tongu and to also discuss with them developmental issues within the district.
Hon. Fenu highlighted the importance of traditional leaders as key stakeholders in development and the need to involve them in the formulation and implementation of government policies in the district.
 He requested for a 4 year development plan from each of the six traditional areas and ways to raise funds to implement the plan .The plan he said should focus on the needs of the traditional area.He added that towns and villages within the District should be properly planned so that access roads could be created. The DCE advised against building without acquiring proper legal documentation from the District Assembly
The DCE pleaded with the Chiefs and Queen mothers to intervene in making lands available for investors to end the situation of investors having to leave the District to other places because of land litigation

The Chiefs and Queen mothers expressed their appreciation for the gesture and intimated their readiness to work with the DCE to improve the living standards of the people of the District.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Published on : 3/12/21
