As part of His six day tour to the various Municipal and District Assemblies in the region, the Hon. Regional Minister, Dr. Archibald Yao Letsa on Wednesday the 19th of January 2022, paid a visit to the North Tongu District. 

 The Hon. Regional Minister accompanied by the Hon. District Chief Executive, Mr.Divine Osborne Fenu and a team comprising the key officers of the Regional Coordinationg Council paid a courtesy call on the Paramount Chief and President of the Battor Traditional Council who is also the Vice President of the Volta Regional House of Chiefs, Togbega Patamia Dzekley VII. He was heartily welcomed by Togbega who later shared some of the needs and concerns of the area which the Hon. RM assured would be given the needed attention.

As part of the tour the Hon. RM commissioned a 4- No. market shed which has been compartmentalized into eighty stalls at the Battor market. He also commissioned an office (station) for the National Ambulance Service in the district and an office for the Business Advisory Centre under the Rural Enterprise Programme. The two projects are located near the District Assembly Office.

Finally, there was a meeting at the Assembly with the staff of the North Tongu District Assembly and staff of other public institutions. The Hon. RM appreciated their contributions towards service delivery and provision of public goods in the district. He also admonished all staff present against practices and conducts that are inimical to the growth of the district and stated that such practices and conducts would attract the necessary sanctions.
